I've been on a few over the years, they've always been really well organized, and the prices and accomodations are always good.
The people who attend these trips are fun, but a lot of them mysteriously into the same zombies that make up the crowds at the Coliseum when they get to the rink. Yawn!
Mind you the last bus trip I was on was in 2002 (or so) which went to Victoriaville/Sherbrooke.. the pre-game pole insertion ritual might have stopped since then... One can only hope.
But yeah, road trips are infinitely more fun than the average home game at the Coliseum... I'd recommend them to anybody.

The people who attend these trips are fun, but a lot of them mysteriously into the same zombies that make up the crowds at the Coliseum when they get to the rink. Yawn! The thing is that most that travel on the bus trips are making noise at the Coliseum but they are spread out so much between the "no noise" people that you don't hear them. When you go on a bus trip, it seems like more noise is made with the 60-120 people you have but everyone is sitting together and you have to realize that when we are cheering a Cat's goal in the oppositions rink, most the time their fans don't make a sound after we score a goal so we sound louder again because of that. The road trips are a great time however. ;D

am I reading this correctly? After "Frank the Tank" gets you drunk the "pole insertion ritual" starts?

If he really was Frank the Tank he would only be concerned about going streaking to the quad and hoping that KFC is open.

No soap lost on that road trip but "someone" got a whole can of whipped cream on him and was video taped with his own camera.......?!? ;D "I suck em (beer) down like Coca-Cola"!!! No streakin yet but it's a Mem Cup year!! Gonna be a great year!!!
