In today's T&T, wonder who he was talking about.
Good to see that Nolan is able to see the problems on the ice and is talking about fixing them, instead of just the same rhetoric of "we need to learn to compete... blah blah blah". Appears we are in for a whole different year this year.

Yes,that was an interesting article. Some of the vets are in for a rude awakening,I think. He also targeted Marquardt as a great talent with some learning to do-so he was one of the guys he was talking about. Wonder who else he was talking about?

Reading through the article and his comments, I figured that he was at least referring to Ouimet and Mazerolle, both of them are veterans and are part of the latest cuts.
I must admit though that reading Nolan's comments seems like a breath of fresh air compared to the standard clichés we've been used to for a while now.

Hmmm ... I took it as the "standard cliches" ... just Nolan trying to scare a few players into giving more effort. I seriously doubt Nolan is cutting any players that we consider to be key. We hear this threat every training camp ... "nobody's spot is secure".

That article was your standard training camp article. What is more cliche than we need grit, to compete for the puck, lot's of work to do etc, etc.
I am sur eyou can pull traing camp articles for the last ten years and find the same quotes.

Personally, I enjoyed even more Keith Yandle's comment about handling Bathurst when the lineup is complete.

Sure, it's the same old game, same old challenges to get the players to give consistent effort, same old cliches...but, the difference this year may be that the Cat's coach should have the ability to get his players to actually make changes to the way they play. This is what truely seperates coaches from great coaches. I think Nolan will get the best out of his players...just give him a little time.

Personally, I enjoyed even more Keith Yandle's comment about handling Bathurst when the lineup is complete. And I'm shocked the Bathurst fans haven't jumped on that comment and made Yandle their new whipping boy now that Sanford has moved on. Yandle obviously meant that Bathurst was a hole and [insert any anti-bathurst comment made by Goon here] ...

If it was an impact player we probably would have,,,,,,,but he just looked ordinary, average here.....he has a lot to prove before he will do any handling of Bathurst.... ya happy now? ;D;D

Personally, I enjoyed even more Keith Yandle's comment about handling Bathurst when the lineup is complete. Can't disagree with that. I almost stopped reading cause I knew where the article was going....but a pleasant surprise to end the article. I haven't even seen this guy play and I like him already

what was Yandle's comment? Yandle said that they would handle Bathurst in the regular season when it counts. Can't wait to see this guy play.

I think we hired the wrong coach. Nolan is blackballed from the NHL and the y will sign every Wildcat they can to contracts to play either in the minors or keep up in the bigs. We are going to be screwed royally!
