I don't know how the hell things the last two nights (which I didn't see) changed, but Tanguay was my first cut Sunday. Clinton, impressed me, and I didn't notice a skating difficulty. Questions, did players actually look like they were fighting for a position more on Mon and Tues then over the weekend? Are the Titan bringing so boys who will drop the gloves tonight?

I thought they did. The games were more representative of what I believe we will see. I.e. Marquart seemed to shine less when checked but was still very good.

Inter-squad games always lack the edge that a real exhibition game has. Guys playing for the same organization aren't going to line up a team-mate and try to put him through the boards like they will an opposing team player. Sure it gets rough at some moments and there are plenty of hits ... but just no anger behind them. I expect you'll see Marquardt play more physical tonight ... and everybody will play with an edge that you didn't see on Monday or Tuesday. Moore will probably assault somebody and wind up in jail.

Wow after tonight I take back my Tanguay playing well comment. I don't know what he was thinking out there. Also Brayden Penner should just go home. Flatfooted and out of place most of the time. The other team would just skate around him at will.

I thought moorehouse was the only player who showed up last nite and would be a real fan favorite if he is kept.

We need Bernier, Saunders and Karsums to compete with the expansion clubs. This years Wildcats team looks weak.

These are my calls: Tanguay - gone; he looks the same as last year and that was short of impressive. Moorehouse - I think he will make this team; Nolan likes the die hard grit and heart in this guy and I think he will keep him. Penner - bubble Eagles - he will make this squad; again, with Nolan I think it all goes back to heart and love of the game; Eagles upperhand here. Clinton - done; gone. He seems slow on his feet and had that "I am Bruce Graham and my head is in the clouds" look to him (obviously referring to when Graham is playing like that; which is not always, but he has yet to drop this nagging quality, that I have seen) Moore - don't think so Ouimet - NO Spencer - cant wait to have him on board; signed already I suppose, but WOW....he is going to be good. I think he will replace Saunders/Doucette as an enforcer......and then some.

I didn't find that Tanguay played a good game on Thursday. He was slow and was out of position often. He didn't have much grit either.
He definitely did not stand out from the others
