If it is only a select few who do it why would the majority be upset? SimplY because it becomes a preferred treatment which gives an edge to the concerned team unfairly for the others. As I said, why not simply sanction the culprits? That's a ridiculously ironic statement considering you cheer for a team that basically bought Chicoutimi's 1st line a few years ago and used it to win you a league title. Before you start spewing BS about proving anything...prove that Esposito or anybody else got any money for reporting. You're talking out of both sides of your mouth at the same time.

I would be more concerned with the Titan draft strategy then whether or no the cats can convince a 16 year old to play major junior.

It just shows how a small market team get targeted by the big owners while RKI spends tons on Dupuis,Yandle,Pinault...and now Brown to earn free passes....and I know that some of your fans despise these tactics just as much as I do.... By the way I never said that LGM was an angel, but I always said that you had no more proof of what you spit out about 1999 than what we are talking about here.... But the obvious will strike you in your face some day........ Everybody knows that Daddy Esposito got a hefty signature bonus for his son's signature and that Brown will get a handsome "education package" from RKI......

Since when do Yandle Dupuis and Pineault cost tons? Dupuis was paid like a top 20 year old, not unlike Mathieu Benoit or Beauregard when they played in Bathurst. Why would they pay Yandle or Pineault? Neither guy had the option of playing NCAA and both were encouraged to play major junior by their NHL team. You are just throwing bullshit around and trying to pass it off as fact. The League had a lot of proof in 1999...that's why they sanctionned the teams, do you think they would have intentionally embarassed themselves for no reason? How would you know what daddy Esposito got? More of your BS...

Everybody knows that Daddy Esposito got a hefty signature bonus for his son's signature and that Brown will get a handsome "education package" from RKI...... Everybody knows this ? I don't know it ... first time I ever heard it ... and its the first time I have ever seen you write it even though you have made at least 100 posts on the Esposito issue. I'm calling BS on this one ... so please provide a news link that tells us that Esposito's parents have been paid. But where is it written that a team can't take care of a player's education ? Several teams openly state they add money on an annual basis to what the Q gives ($3500 per year for a maximum of 3 yrs) ... Halifax gives $2500 extra per year for example. So if the Q is giving Brown $10,500 ... and we top him up to say $60,000 (estimated cost of a 4 yr University program in Atlantic Canada) ... then all we are doing is adding $12,375 per year over 4 years. How is that different than Halifax and other teams that take their players futures more seriously ? There is no limit placed by the Q on educational bursaries ... so no rules have been broken. I can't believe you are complaining about a team that actually is concerned about a players future education ... if more teams were concerned about that then there would be alot less NCAA bluffs. Its teams like Bathurst that give nothing extra to players for education that cause kids to play the NCAA bluff so they don't land in Bathurst where the best they can get is highschool education.

It is already justified with the coming of Brown..... Yeah ... it really sucks to be a Wildcat fan ... we have to carry around this terrible burden ... but at least we aren't cheating like the Titan did ... we are playing by the rules. prove it...

It is already justified with the coming of Brown..... Don't hate the Ply'r hate the game. Fix the rest of the league then start pointing fingers. it's ok to point fingers.......moncton, halifax, quebec, possibly rimouski........about the only teams in the league that can afford to do it

No, I mean the only teams who have the cash to offer the extra perks to get them to come.........it has nothing to do with them not wanting to play for certain teams, but rather which team can offer them more.....and that's not right, or fair.......one way to correct this would be take the NHL model and do a revenue sharing program to make it a more even playing field.

I have to disagree with you there. They play with the team that respect their players, hire above average coaches, that employ a staff that is focused on winning the Mem Cup. Each of the teams mentioned fits that description. Mr Irving is running a tight focused ship here and the players and the coaches know it. Also Peter Nevin must be some sort of genious because of he'scontinoually making something out of nothing (no draft choices). You should probably toss in Lewiston and I think SJ when they get going.
