Theres an article in the T&T and it looks pretty promising. Nolan said he would like to get it done in the next 10 days. If no NHL offer is given he would come back to Moncton. This would be great for the Wildcats organization and the city of Moncton and of course us fans.

Was at the Mazda dealership this past Thursday for an oil change on the truck and Les S. was there at the same time, of course the conversation steered around Ted Nolan's possible return ans according to old Les, he will be back it's just crossing the t's and dotting the I's

Having Nolan on board could bring a huge difference in the level of play we see. I hope Les is back too ... he has become a fixture on the team. Sure we might be able to find a better play by play guy ... but I like the enthusiasm Les brings to the job and enjoy his broadcasts.

It has to be pretty much done, otherwise it wouldn't be all over the papers. Nolan would not be saying all he is saying and then bolt for Windsor...basically if he doesn't get an NHL offer he is coming back with the Cats. I don't see why he would say it if that wasn't the case and risk pissing off everybody in Moncton.

It would be nice to know before the draft. He would put alot more effort going in knowing he is putting his own team together , and not someone elses..

OK ... so lets say Nolan does sign up for a long term deal. Rumour (didn't I read this in the paper ?) had it that Flynn would wait to see what Nolan was doing before deciding what he would do. So lets pretend that if Nolan is back that now Flynn is willing to come back also. I'm surprised that Flynn would be willing to leave a good job at X to be an asst coach in the Q full time ... last year was just a one year leave of absence.
What about Dan Lacroix ... a guy that has been here for several years now ? His contract has also expired. Do you go with a 3 man coaching system again or do you trim it to 2 ? Three would seem to be overkill in a non-contending year and I'm not sure Dan Lacroix would want to be 3rd on the depth chart for another year. On the other hand ... its a good idea to have at least one francophone on your coaching staff to have better communication with the new kids coming in from Quebec that may have very limited english skills. I am assuming that neither Nolan and Flynn are fluently bilingual ... correct me if I am wrong.
