Radio stations in Moncton are not eager to broadcast the games. Not sure why but IMO, its pitiful a city the size of Moncton with a plethora of radio stations and not one of them will take 3 hours every couple of nights to broadcast a game.

The Cats can afford their own damn station just to broadcast games. Well said! They own the papers, they might just as well continue with radio. I cannot understand this either... well, maybe I can. Having all the games broadcast might take away one season ticket holder out of 3700 (next year to go down to 1500). ;D

All kidding aside, not everyone who follow the Cats have internet , or could be bothered with sitting beside the computer all night to listen to it. We need a radio broadcast. Cripes, the Timberwolves (Jr A) broadcast every game on radio and internet. Is anyone really listening to Magic 104 in the evenings? Remember the old New Brunswick Hawks broadcasts on 104? I don't care about home games, cause I'm at them all, I'm talking the road games, where there is zero chance of revenue loss.

Heck, they have enough companies to support the broadcast by buying the commercial time among their companies. What a great show of faith and what a great response to their fans this would be!

Heck, what about local channel 9 and 10 in Moncton ? You would think this being the Mem Cup year we would at least see the away games or some of them. What was up with that showing home games on TV last year ? Being a fan, I go to the home games. I am sure they can work something out. Heck I go to PEI and see the Abbies and Capitals playing on their local stations. Not sure if they are live, but at least they see them.

Dish people, and there are a lot of us, can't access the local 9/10 channels. I'm certainly not against this idea because it's not accessible to me, but a radio broadcast is accessible to everyone, no matter where they are, at home, somebody's else's home or the car. I still miss the french CbC's Canadians radio broadcast's, cause sometime's there was just nothing else to do. Radio can't be that expensive can it? I personnally don't know.

Yes, it is.... however like I said the Irving group of companies can MORE than support a couple of hours of radio coverage a couple of times a week. As someone mentioned I don't care about TV, but I would LOVE to listen to all of the Cats away games on the radio!

This was posted on the Titan board by a Rogers official ...
Hi Folks! Wanted to make you all aware of a brand new show coming to Rogers Television in the Bathurst/Campbellton area this fall. Starting on September 19th, "Around the Q" will feature news, highlights, interviews, and will take phone calls to discuss anything and everything about the QMJHL. The focus of the show will be on Bathurst and Moncton. This show will air on Channl 10, on a weekly basis, and will air live at 9pm, followed by a repeat the next day at 4pm. Looking foward to having you tune in, and call in to the show. Hope this doesn't come off sounding like an ad, because it's not meant to be. I just think it would be of interest to those posting on this webform.
Regards, Charles Olscamp (Supervising Producer for Around the Q)
