The following article was posted by another Poster on the Rocket Board.
Sportsnet has also learned that Sidney Crosby's linemate, Dany Roussin, is going back into the draft.
Sources tell Sportsnet the Florida Panthers missed the signing deadline by three minutes this afternoon following a flurry of back and forth negotiations between Panthers GM Mike Keenan and Roussin's agent, Pat Brisson.
The two sides had agreed on an entry level agreement just prior to the deadline and believed a fax delivered by Florida at 5pm (et) would register in Montreal in time.
It didn't, and the NHL deemed the deal invalid, which leaves Roussin free to any team on Saturday.
Sounds like a costly mistake if Florida was actually interested in Roussin as it could cost them a reasonable draft pick to get him back if they really want him. I will also be interested to find out how Roussin feels about his agent's handling of this.

So with Bernier and Saunders signed, and the chances of them returning dropping to about 1% and 5% respectively, who do you think is going to start the season as 20 year olds for Moncton?
Do Hepditch and Girard come to camp? A pre-season trade perhaps?

I'd say Hep and Girard do come to camp. Early in the season we'll hopefully see a trade. Having Hepditch and Girard as 20's is not good. They may come to compete, but we need guys who are "clutch" for our 20's.

They may come to compete, but we need guys who are "clutch" for our 20's. Suddenly we have room for both Roussin and Coulombe. It would be a steep price for both, that's for sure! I don't see Mondou being available now that they brought in Bourret in Shaw, they're probably hoping to compete. Who else would be a good fit?

Sure you may have room for those guys but what do you guys have available to trade with.
Also Roussin is going back in the draft only because he wasn't signed in time. The team that drafts him this Saturday will most likely want him playing in the AHL or ECHL so that he can develop to a more physical style of play. I may not like Roussin but he has already proven that he can score in the Q so returning is of little professional development to him.

Roussin should be thankful Florida fucked up.. being a second round draft pick is better for entry level contract negotiations than being a 7th rounder
His agent in effect just got a raise ;D
