Expect to hear official word in the next 2-3 days that he is officially going to report to the Wildcats.
According to a couple of my sources, he was 99.9% going to Salisbury prep school up until the last couple of days where the Wildcats convinced him to report.
I know that the WC Management has been saying he is coming since the draft but they were just hopeful that they would be able to sway his plan...which they did.

I was at the box office yesterday awitching my seats and saw a sign in the backround saying "Welcome to the Wildcats Alexi Pianosi" so I asked and she laughed. She said its all done except for him letting his team know. Thats why it has not been made official yet.

17 year-old defenceman with the Dartmouth Subways, who was chosen most valuable player and top defenceman in the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League, has opted to join the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Alexi Pianosi of Halifax advised Brad Crossley his coach with the Subways of his decision last week. Crossley confirmed the report Monday morning.

What can we expect from Pianosi? From the sounds of things he plays a similar style to A. Mac. I guess the other question is are we getting too deep in offensive D men? With A. Mac, Welton, Pianosi, Bourdon (We didn't really see his offensive side yet). That leaves D. Mac (unlikely 20 yr old return) Emanuelle and Belanger on more of a D role.

He is a less skilled Patrick Coulombe.
He is built like a tank, 5'09 190...he uses his stick well on defense, hes a good skater, not blazing but above average.
He has a great shot...lethal from the point. Very heavy and accurate.
I think for a 17 year old rookie, id expect maybe 10 goals and 10 assists...at 19 he should be a 50-60 pt dman.

I read on the HF boards (from another poster stating it was a "rumour") that Zach Sill either had his scholarship revoked from U of Maine or he decided to report to Moncton. Has anyone heard anything about this? If so how much of an impact would he have?
