My father passed on last night after a lengthy illness, he was a season ticket holder since the begining. He followed the AHL, Beavers, UdeM and High School and Midget hockey over the years. He started me playing hockey when I was 4 years old and never missed a game I played from there through to Junior hockey and beyond. The only times he missed where when he was working here in Moncton before we moved up but when I was later playing Junior Hockey in Cole Harbour he would make the drive down from Moncton virutally every game, he even followed me every game I played in Industrial and Gentlemans up until several years ago when due to illness he could no longer do so. He made it to the Home opener this year but sadly that was the last game he was able to attend.
I just wanted to post here to let everyone know that a truly great hockey fan has passed on and more importantly a great Dad.

You're father and mine sound so much the same, that he really must have been an amazing Man and Hockey Dad. Lucky are we that have such dedicated people in our lives that will huddle in a freezing arena at 6 a.m. without fail, or drive 8 hours to our tournaments. Please Take Care and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

You have my deepest sympathies. Losing one's father is always a real blow. Don't worry, he'll still be watching you play, he's just got a better seat now.
