I thought I would start a thread for everyone to post their comments going into, during, and after the drafts. We all know there is going to be some "No Doubters", "Surprises" and interesting facts.
To start, I know this was mentioned in another thread but, lets hope Marchand doesnt get drafted by Montreal. He might not go there cause its a "french" city. How immature can you be!!
Found out today that Czech prospect Michael Frolik is the younger brother of former Wildcat Martin Frolik. Who knew that?
Got this off TSN's website...Talking about Wildcats draftee Brian Strait "according to a quote on his website on myspace.com he 'wants to die with his work boots and wizard hat on'...on Feb. 25, when the Under-18 team was playing Rochester Institute of Technology, a teammate's skate sliced into the jugular vein of NTDP forward Chris Atkinson, nearly claiming his life. Strait got his teammates to wear an 11 Atkinson's number, on their helmets for the rest of the season." Nice touch on his part!

A big and well deserved congrats to Andrew MacDonald going 160th overall to NYI and a chance to work with Ted Nolan again. Great news! Congrats Andrew.

two picks left and still no Samson... Anybody else find this a bit odd considering MacDonald went 160th overall?

I don't know what scouts and GM's are thinking, Samson would have been a stael in the later rounds, I like him even more than Marchand, I think Samson can get it done in any role, if he is not drafted next year, then these scouts need to be fired soon.

Ott Kaspars Daugavins 5/18/1988 Riga LV 5'11" 181 LW L
If tradition continues itself, chances are this guy is a Wildcat by Thursday. We'll wait and see!

We'll wait and see! the isles took jesse joensuu who was at one time regarded as a top 10 (possibly top 5) pick for this draft. i don't think anyone owns is CHL rights. wonder if something will be in the works with nolan & co. i doubt it, but you never know i guess.

I can`t believe that Jerome Samson never got drafted by any team. Jerome we all know that you are more than worthy of being drafted your turn will come. And Andrew Macdonald you are one lucky dude that somebody is lookin out for you, But anyways congrats to you. P.S. you got to learn to shoot that puck on the power play from the slot. you will have to pick it up and play more physical to make the big leagues. Hope the best for you, good luck!!!!
