The point is he will be a very good power forward. He can crash and bang, has a good shot and on the first or second line with more shifts and more responsibilities he will put up those numbers. Hawes is big, likes to crash (wish he would more often), and put up better numbers then Marqhardt.....and he played mostly 3rd line and on the PK. Underacheiver is he?? I dont expect him to get 70pts this season though...

Can't see him bringing much in return... 3rd line bangers will little offensive ability are a dime a dozen. Maybe a 2nd line player on the Wildcats next season though.....with some odd time on the 1st. Good luck with that. He scored 16 goals playing most of the season on the 4th line. How is that "little offensive ability"? I know you have a hate on for everything that is the Wildcats so why do you bother posting your crap?

He'll likely be a fixture on your top line next year. I'd keep him as he would bring nothing better than a 5th.. more likely a 6-8th in return right now Perhaps by xmas he might have discovered how to actually hit the net with his shot and uped his trade value Marquardt would get the Cats a 3rd, maybe 2nd or good young player, but he still probably has 2 years left and somebody has to play. Ryan Seymour got Bathurst a 4th rounder as a 20 year old and he makes Marquardt look like Jaromir Jagr with the puck. That being said I don't think the Cats would move him.

and Marquardt wasn't on your 4th until you added Dupuis and Karsums came back from injury
Be consistant
Marquardt also played lots of PP time and I'd bet that is where many of his goals came from
I actually like Marquardt's game but no way would he bring you back a 2nd or 3rd rounder plus a player

That was 75-80% of his ice time. I didn't say 2nd or 3rd PLUS a player...I said OR a player. He'll never be an offensive whiz, but with his shot and size he gets himself good chances. I think he'll get 55-60pts if he plays on the 1st line.

ok with the ingery Matt was verry good and verry there on the second line wen he had the chance , but don t expect a guy who played on the 4 line to produce 80 pts , i found this years wen he comes back he will be playing on the first second line and he will put the Numbers up there , he just need the ice time . verry good player overall . remind me of bernier a bit .

If you're gonna respond, learn how to use the quote button first. Maybe you can pass on the incredible amount of knowledge you have and give me a detailed expantation on how to do it, as it seems that you are an expert on most things, read between the lines dummy

I dont see Marquardt going anywhere. We are fairly thin up front next year, and he will have a bigger role. I dont think he'll get the 70 pts someone mentioned, but i think he could get 40-50. Another reason i dont see him being traded is that he is a good candidate to play in the league as a 20 year old, so why trade him when we could get 2 more years of solid play out of him.

I don't think Marquardt will get 70 points this coming season - but I can see him getting 30 goals and 50 points just based on increased ice time over this season. He is not a third line grinder, he is the kind of player who either plays top two lines, or fourth line - not what I would call a defensive forward.
