it's funny how you guys go on about how we draft just average, but it has been mentioned on one of the forums how dupuis and labelle should be candidates for mvp this year and after desalliers lands in bathurst i've read how everyone loves him there and what a character player he is. Those 2 were 1st rd picks...they are SUPPOSED to be good. And both are 20 year old 1st rd picks.

There was also a rumour on the PEI board a little while back, that Gragnani wants out and someone over there mentioned the possibility of Gragnani being dealt to the Cats for Nathan Welton. One other guy not mentioned as a 20 for next year is Yandle, I doubt he would be back in Junior next year, but if he were sent back, I would imagine he would fetch quite a nice return as well.

i dunno, that seems to me like making a trade for the sake of making a trade. i would think the cats would want some picks or prospects back for welton seeing as they'll be in total rebuild mode anyway, not a guy who plays nearly the same type of game and will likely be in his last season also next year. you MIGHT get an extra year out of gragnani, but he's NHL drafted - welton isn't, i wouldn't expect gragnani back as a 20. also it would take more than welton to land gragnani (as mentioned above) - all this doesn't add up to a smart deal for the cats. yeah ok, i walked into that one....

I Dunno, just stating what I had read on the PEI board, who knows, but PEI from what I hear is looking to get rid of both Gragnani and O'Brien, because neither player wants to go back there next year. If this deal were offered to the Cats I would make it, as it clears up one 20 spot and also they could deal Gragnani if they want prospects or picks.

Like I said, I am just telling you what I read on the PEI board, take it for what it is worth, probably not much. The trade on the Dogs board is a joke of course, I think Steve UL posted something similar on another board, I was just playing off of that, if you can't tell a joke from the truth, you need to find a new hobby.

Grags did want out, and still may do.
Thing I'm hoping is that Savard cans Jean, and brings in someone who can talk Grags into staying around.
This kid has some sick skills, and with our D losing Mealy and Milot next season, we sure could use a motivated Gragnani!
but Savard WONT trade him for peanuts.....as he shouldn't.
