ok i think those who predict the Eagles in 4 or 5 games have had their head up their asses if they think the Devils will lose 2 games out of 3 at home a team which has won 9 straight games at Mile One and has gone (13-2-0-1)at home in 2006 this is the same board who told me we would flop in the second half cause the weak get weaker ive yet to see it but i guess half this board will get this series wrong
my predictions Victoriaville over Moncton in 4 games (its as Possable as Eagles in 4 or 5) Titan over PEI in 6 games Cape Breton over St.John's in 6 games Lewiston over Halifax in 6 games
Quebec over Val'd or in 5 games Chicoutimi over Baie Comeau 6 games RN over ShaW IN 5 GAMES Drummondville over Gatineau in 6 games

Moncton over Victo in 4 -
Scales tilted heavily in Moncton's favor from goaltender out. The only hope for Victo is Walsh or JCB pulling out all the stops and scoring in bunches (Victo has done it from time to time this year, but so has everyone except probably Riki and the Sea Dogs). Would be nice to FINALLY see a series won on home ice again.
Bathurst over PEI in 6 -
PEI is better than their record indicates and will grind out a couple of victories here (possibly in OT). Might be the most physical first round series. Probably a tossup between this or.....
CB over St. John's in 7 -
This might be the most entertaining first round series and deinately has the potential to be the most physical. The Eagle's losing Culligan will hurt their second line more than some may think (are they not nursing other injuries as well?). As a partial result of this, at least five of the games will be decided by one goal.
Lewiston over Halifax in 6 -
Playing home games at the Forum will be the only reason this series is not a sweep. Halifax is playing with zero ambition (or so it has been alluded to) and is without the services of their top scorer. Lewiston is a hit or miss club, though - possibly the steakiest in the league this year behind Drummondville. It's REALLy hard to gauge how they may come out for this series. If they play to their full potential, they win in no less than 5. If they come out stumbling, it could be a VERY close one.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quebec over Val d'Or in 6 -
Yes, 6. Mostly just to be different, but partly because I don't think Quebec is that much of a "team". Talented players, yes. Talented team..... well, I guess that will be determined soon enough. Val d'Or has nothing to lose, and has one of the more underrated impact guys in the league in Olivier Latendresse (who else is a little surprised he wound up a 125 point guy!). Val d'Or will throw caution to the wind and it will earn them a couple of extra games, which is about all they could ask for.
Chicoutimi over BC in 6 - Chicoutimi has been on fire as of late.... but BC has had a strong second half in it's own right. BC reminds me of a poor man's version of Chicoutimi in soem ways. BC has telent on it's roster, they just have to work that much harder to achieve success. If their play since January is any indication - and if Dupont can come up with some huge games - this series could wind up being kind of entertaining.
Rouyn-Noranda over Shawinigan in 6 - I think the simple fact that Rouyn-Noranda FINALLY had a satisfying playoff run last year will help them out in this series. I also think Shawinigan's unusual tradition of simply not showing up in the playoffs will continue as well. Could be alot of one goal games, could be blowouts. Hard to say in this one. The potential is there either way.
Drummondville over Gatineau in 5 - Drummondville is simply too hot at all positions fot the Piques to handle. At least Gatineau has a ton of playoff experience in nets to possibly help them weather any storms.
