Steve did you go to Maine to watch the game? Cassidy is an idiot always has been and always will be towards Moncton I watched the game on Webcast ... and saw every penalty occur before it was called ... except for Yandle's unsporstmanlike penalty. Cassidy also called our last game against St. John's and nailed St. John's to the wall for their crap. Did he call a bad game that day ? How soon we forget.

I agree with Steve, as I watched it all too and we deserved them all. No one is mentioning that we had a 5 on 3 when we scored our first goal and a 5 on 4 when we scored our second goal. I guess the Ref was OK then. Our team did not deserve to win this one, as they played terribly, out of position, long passes that did not even come close to connecting. lazy play, etc.

I've seen some terrible games by Cassidy (game 6 of last year's Univ final comes to mind), but he's also done some decent games. My vote for overall worst ref in the league goes to Nicolas Dutil - by far. I'd put Pellerin at the top of the list for best overall, most consistent officiating.

Plain and simple they should have 2 refs on the ice at all times. I realise this is going to bring up some heated debate, but one guy can't be everywhere at once and with 2 there's someone to over turn a blown call.

I wouldn't be opposed to trying that.............I watched a special on TSN a few weeks ago about NHL reffing............one of the things that stood out to me, is that they said, with the speed of the game going with the new rules, one guy couldn't keep up with the play..........I've seen many times a ref consulting with the goal judge as to whether a puck was in or not, as he was just coming over the blueline when the goal was scored...............it's worth a try.......... Just don't give me Cassidy and Hebert at the same time............that would be the problem with this system.........with all the extra refs needed, there would be an influx of new guys from midget AAA and we would see a lot more bad reffing as they would be all rookies........

rookies or not...even to rotten brains are better than one. and they should also allow for the refs to bring their seeing eye dogs on the ice too!! ;D

Two refs isn't gonna change anything. There'll just be even more calls. I've never seen a ref overturn a penalty called by another ref. In the NHL, they put two refs cause they wanted more penalties because of all the obstruction and such. In the Q, we definitely don't need more penalties.
