I was readin the paper this morning and it talked about how they lost yandle because of the 5 minute major. It then said that the cape breton screaming eagles are sending th tape to the league.... Pavelok didnt look hurt to me... I mean if he would of been hurt itwould be a different story !!!!!!!!! I think whoever charges the goalie should get a 2 min and a game... if the goalie isnt hurt.... IF the goalie is hurt and they need to pull him well then you give the guy a 5 minute major and a game!!!!!!!!

If he intentionally ran the goalie...hurt or not...I think the 5 minutes and a game are justified.
As for a suspension, the goalie not being hurt may help for the length of the suspension, but I think it is likely he will get a game for this...hope I'm wrong. It will also depend on the angle of the camera, because from my angle (and I happenned to be at the opposite end of the Rink when this happened), it looked like he was inerfered with and just went into the goalie not by his own choice.
Anyways, keep an eye on the Q site tomorrow regarding a suspension, because a decision should be made before the start of tomorrows game.

Tomorrow Since when is the Q that quick to hand out suspensions? I wouldn't be surprised if he gets 1 game and they hand it out right before we play Chicoutimi next Friday. That is the Q way to do things.

For suspensions, it is not necessary to have an injury. If the tape shows intent to hurt, there will be a suspension. From my view, there was definitely intent. Also, at the mid-period timeout Yandle and Pavelec mouthed off at each other a bit and Yandle looked pissed.

It happend almost right in front on me (Section 2) and it clearly looked as though there was intent to injure. I really hope that I'm wrong on this, but I expect at least 1 game suspension up to 3.

Not that Keith is a bad guy or anything but I really wouldn't be surprised if he did it on purpose. He's just such a competitor. I know how he feels and I'm thinking he probably did it on purpose out of frustration of either being interfered with or with Pavalec's play against the Cats.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee today imposed a one game suspension to Moncton Wildcats defenseman Keith Yandle.
The suspension follows an incident that occured in last Wednesday’s game in which Mr. Yandle assaulted goaltender Ondrej Pavelec of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.
Before rendering their decision, the disciplinary committee reviewed the video sequence of the incident and consulted all concerned parties. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL's policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.

We're lucky its one game.
Funny thing about this incident, Steve just prior to Yandle running Pavlov said "Its time to start running their goalie." I don't think he meant that way but go hard to the net and if you make contact, oh well.
I did have to turn to him after though and say "Is that what you had in mind?" ;D

Anybody that thinks that incident wasn't intentional is blind. But it needed to be done ... we needed to do something to get CB off their game plan and at the same time light a fire under us.

Nice to know the Yandle will do whatever it takes. This is not his best move and he's still learning but it does show his spirit. Good on you Yandle.

So with Yandle out it means we'll probably see Demers and Adam dressed so all you critics can decide who you feel is the better man and who should stay dressed on Sunday.

We're lucky it's only one game.
