There was one thing I saw tonight that I really liked to see. They were creating all kinds of traffic in front of the net at both ends of the ice. It's a good thing coach LaRue wasn't there or he'd have sent all of them home. He really preferred to see all three forwards in behind the oppositions' net. Pineault looked to be a little bigger but wasn't working any harder than last year. Coach Nolan won't put up with coasters for long. I'm anxious to see them against the Titan.

The guy I thought looked bigger and much better was Stephane Goulet. He's one of the biggest guys on the ice and is doing some great things with the puck.

Can someone tell me how Corey Garland is making out in camp He played on the Red Team tonight mainly with Hepditch and Eagles. Mazerolle also took a turn on the line as well. I don't remember him having a shot on goal. IMHO, he was just "there" - certainly not a standout. He'll stick for awhile I think though.

How does the young guys on defense look? ? Eeek, that's a loaded quesion. The defensive pairings for Monday's Intrasquad Game were: WHITE: Gardiner/Penner Emanuele/Welton RED: Demers/MacDonald Tanguay/Ouskun Demers had at least four shots on goal, one a great one. Penner had a few good shots on goal as well. Personally, I liked MacDonald tonight..... however none were really impressive.

Could anybody update me on how they think Calitri is doing? This is just my opinion, but he's a real digger and one of my favorites so far. I wouldn't say that he's a sure thing however, there's seems to be a lot of players that have their moments.

Will the team find out if there are anymore cuts coming tonight, and what are the cut deadlines?

Could anybody update me on how they think Calitri is doing? Daniel Calitri is doing very, very well. I think both he and Marquardt will be signed. Calitri is rather small but a really gutsy, "in your face" player. He really antagonizes the opposition. Tonight, he played very well collecting a great goal and got a goalie intereference penalty for almost taking the head off poor lil Riopel. He played on a line with Ouimet with Spencer and Clinton taking turns as the third on the forward line. Looks great to me!!!!!

Could you give me the name of your local newspaper, and is it available on line. Check the Canada East link under news on the head of this page.
